General Information
The K26 stainless steel key keepers are designed to resist vandalism and to be used in conjunction with stainless steel type lobby entry panels and/or mail boxes.
The Alpha Communications/Florence K26 series flush mount key keepers are designed specifically to mount in conjunction with stainless steel lobby panels, directories or mail boxes, or where a heavy-duty vandal-resistant key keeper is required. The K26 series key keepers are U.S. Postal Service Approved, and are required when mailboxes are installed behind a locked entry door. This allows the Postman access to the mailboxes, without having to bother or disturb any of the building’s tenants. These key keepers can be mounted vertically or horizontally and include the mounting hardware for the installation of the postal lock (supplied by the local post office). The K26 series key keepers are designed to be flush mounted only. U.S. Postal Service regulations do not allow for a key keeper to be surface mounted. The K26 series key keepers are available in three (3) types: ‘loose key’ (model K26), with a ‘built-in momentary push-button’ (model K26P), or with a ‘built-in retractable reel and chain’ (model K26R).
